Spectra is accepting applications for Automation and Measurement Technicians in Utah and ColoradoPositions are full-time and are fully benefited.

The Automation and Measurement Technician works on various customer’s equipment to get data from well sites, salt water disposals, compressor sites, plants, and any field automation devices to their respective SCADA host. 

Duties and responsibilities

The primary duty is to execute field installs of various automation instruments, transmitters, and radios as well as download, troubleshoot, and modify RTU and PLC configurations.

  • Install and maintain remote communications equipment
  • Assist Automation and SCADA engineers in troubleshooting systems from the field
  • Calibration and verification of field instruments to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Provide on-call support to various clients’ automation and SCADA systems
  • Provide documentation of work completed
  • Maintain industry standard health and safety compliance
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Qualifications include:
  • Knowledge of RTU’s, PLC’s and field devices
  • Understanding of field radio communications
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office

STRATA Networks is accepting applications for a CATV Advanced Line Technician in the Vernal area. Primary job responsibilities are to provide maintenance of the coaxial plant. Sweep the cable plant on a regular schedule, troubleshoot and or make repairs on the coaxial plant and assist with designing and building out the plant when needed. Must also be able to provide secondary support for the Install / Line Technicians. Previous coaxial installation and line work experience preferred.

A valid Utah Driver License and satisfactory driving record are required. Must be able to obtain a DOT medical card.

STRATA Networks is accepting applications for a Part-Time and Full-Time Call Center Customer Care Specialist. We are looking for Call Center Representatives that can manage large amounts of inbound and outbound calls in a timely manner, identify customers’ needs, clarify information, research each issue, and provide solutions. This person will be the contact between STRATA Networks and its current and potential customers. The representative must be able to effectively solve customer questions and inquiries while keeping customer satisfaction as the primary goal.

This person will be responsible for seizing opportunities to upsell products and services and building sustainable relationships. A completed type test will be requested at the time of the interview.

1+ years of customer service experience is preferred.

Strata Networks is accepting applications for a Heavy Equipment Operator. This position is full-time and is fully benefitted. Applicants must be able to demonstrate extensive experience with excavators, backhoes, dozers, and/or bore machines.

A valid Class A CDL will be required. Applicants must be able to work in a team environment, be dependable, safety conscious, have good communication and basic computer skills, and follow directions. Must be able to lift up to 100 Lbs., climb in and out of trenches and manholes and perform manual labor when asked.

STRATA Networks is accepting applications for a full-time Network Operations Center Technician.

The NOC Technician is responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving issues affecting business and residential customers and the availability and quality of the network. This individual must be able to employ investigative and troubleshooting skills to identify, isolate, and resolve routine to very complex system and network issues.

Employees are expected to achieve individual, and team goals and have a positive approach in interactions with customers and team members. Must be able to communicate with technical staff to ensure issues are resolved in a timely and efficient manner.

The ideal candidate will be team-oriented and have very strong technical, communication, and organizational skills within a fast-paced environment.

STRATA Networks is accepting applications for a full-time Marketing Specialist.

This employee will be responsible for brainstorming, developing, and executing marketing strategies for STRATA Networks. Marketing strategies may be focused on STRATA’s core products and services, business development ventures, and/or one of STRATA’s subsidiary companies.

This person will be expected to show initiative and high aptitude in developing marketing-related tactics, including communication strategies and/or promotional and advertising plans, and will work with others on the Marketing team to implement those plans.

Candidates should have a good understanding of best marketing practices and will need to demonstrate excellent communication, writing, and organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously, and the capacity to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

A four-year undergraduate degree in the areas of marketing, communications, business, or another related field is strongly preferred.

STRATA Networks is currently accepting applications for an OSP Engineer. This position provides engineering of Outside Plant (OSP) Projects and Project Management of Projects.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Provide design and management of:
    • Fiber-optic and copper-based projects (to the home, business, cell-site, node, etc) including staking sheets/construction drawings
    • Tabulation of materials
    • Coordination with other Engineers, Logistics, Construction, and Facilities groups on assigned projects
  • Records Management
    • Helps ensure maps and records are up to date with any changes in BLC’s, FDA’s, and other upgrades
    • As needed, helps provide maps and information to management
  • Participate in aspects of strategic planning processes as assigned.
  • Coordinate with local, state, and federal government entities on projects as necessary (road construction projects, permits, mapping, etc)
  • Special projects (State and Federal mapping obligations, internal mapping, and informational needs, etc)
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications include:

  • Maintain current driver’s license.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Field
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Google Earth
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Strong and effective English skills, both written and spoken
  • Demonstration of the ability to learn new skills
  • Confidence to interact with all levels internally, with customers, and with suppliers

Preference will be given to those with:

  • Experience in Road Design, Utility Coordination, Surveying
  • Experience with telecommunications and/or related utilities is preferred
  • Experience with drafting, mapping, and GIS platforms

Strata Networks is seeking applications for Seasonal Laborers. This position is considered temporary and may complete up to 1000 hours. The wage is $14 per hour, and will have the opportunity for overtime.

Employees are required to complete a background check and drug screening.
